The Cameron Twins X Stephan Boya

This collaboration did not begin with the idea of a product, but with a work of art.

One year ago, Glenda and Stephan visited the Knotenpunkt exhibition at Affenfaust Galerie in Hamburg. Among many works, one piece by The Cameron Twins, a London-based duo, stayed with us immediately. It had a directness and energy that did not need much explanation. We bought the artwork and placed it in our office — right by the entrance, where we see it every day.

At the exhibition, Marcus Schild introduced us to the artists Abigail and Phebe Cameron. The encounter felt open, relaxed and natural. Towards the end of the year, the thought came up that this very artwork could become a beautiful scarf motif — not as a simple transfer, but as a new medium.

Through Marcus, we got back in touch with the Twins. Abigail and Phebe were immediately excited by the idea. This is how the limited cooperation came to life: an artwork translated into soft, felted cashmere.
